Maintenance
All our creations are made from the natural metal and a result of 100% manual labour. Because the metal reacts with environmental factors such as humidity, temperature and light, each product will have a completely unique color and will continuously evolve under the influence of its environment.
We hope that you will enjoy our work for a long time and that is why we are happy to give you the following maintenance instructions.
- Remove dust with a damp cloth.
- For stains caused by liquids or greasy substances, remove the stain immediately with an absorbent cloth. Clean the entire surface with a cloth dampened with lukewarm water. Take the utmost care while performing these operations to avoid scratching the surface. *
- If finished with wax: treat annually with Vulkan Wax.
- If treated with Protective Coating: Reapply annually using a microfiber cloth
* Do not use products containing alcohol, acetone, ammonia, chlorine, solvents or abrasives as these can permanently damage the surface of the product and create a matte look.
* All our products are finished with a protection of your choice (wax, varnish, coating). Depending on the finish chosen, the stain protection will vary. Regardless of this choice, Vulkan cannot provide a 100 percent guarantee against staining.
